About

Why I Created SolarHealth

Teaching radiation protection is both my profession and my focus. As a medical physicist in Switzerland, I work across radiology, nuclear medicine, and interventional cardiology, helping minimize ionizing radiation exposure for clinical staff and patients.

Over time, I recognized this was one part of a much wider field. Radiation and electromagnetic fields are present everywhere – from cosmic rays and solar storms to devices in daily use. My research has taken me from the naturally radioactive granite of the Himalayas to questions about how solar and geomagnetic activity might relate to biological rhythms.

These experiences pointed toward a broader domain: health physics, where environmental physics, measurable exposures, and human biology intersect.

What SolarHealth Is (and Isn’t)

SolarHealth reflects that wider view. It is a space to explore connections between natural radiation, environmental factors, electromagnetic influences, and human biology – with consistent boundaries:

  • Physics-first: definitions, mechanisms, and measurable variables are established before conclusions.
  • Uncertainty-visible: established physics is separated from interpretation and hypothesis at every step.
  • Non-alarmist: the goal is environmental literacy and practical orientation, not fear.

Some topics reach beyond conventional science and include integrative or open-ended perspectives worth examining. The aim is not to present these as established findings, but to broaden the conversation – inviting considered reflection on how physical forces in nature may shape biology in ways we are only beginning to understand. These perspectives are presented as exploratory, not conclusive.

SolarHealth does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment guidance, or personal medical advice.

How We Label What We Publish

Every claim on SolarHealth sits somewhere on this scale. The symbols travel with the topics — physics that is settled looks different from a hypothesis that is still being tested.

Established symbol

Established

Physics and measurements that are settled science.

Plausible symbol

Plausible

Effects with consistent population-level evidence.

Disputed symbol

Disputed

Open debate among serious researchers.

Hypothesis symbol

Hypothesis

Suggestive, unresolved, presented as exploratory.

Speculative symbol

Speculative

Marketing claims without measurement basis.

Defining Health Physics

For the broader framing behind SolarHealth, start with the introductory health physics article below.

Health Physics: The Role of Energy in the Body

Health physics has traditionally focused on radiation protection-mainly ionizing radiation like X-rays used in radiology and radiation therapy. That work is still essential to protect patients and staff. But health physics can go much further. It can explore how various invisible forces-electric, magnetic, gravitational, light-based, and even subtle fields described in traditional systems-affect our biology.
